Bethesda has announced that the latest patch for DOOM on Nintendo Switch adds motion aiming to the game, raising concerns at the Accident Compensation Corporation for the well being of sedentary gamers around New Zealand.
Players familiar with Nintendo’s flagship Switch title Zelda: Breath of the Wild will be familiar with motion aiming on Switch, and the 2018 handheld port of Bethesda’s demon slaying extravaganza looks to offer a similar functionality, though forcing split second reactions.
An ACC spokesperson called the addition “concerning” and said the company expected claims for soft tissue damage to spike in the coming weeks.
Bethesda has declined to comment.
